Engine Repairs and Reconditioning
I will repair any two or four-stroke model engine, glow or gas. I
will
also do light machine work if necessary for the repair. Such work as
the
following can be done:
-Bearing replacement, two or four stroke.
-New piston rings, including cylinder honing.
-Removal of frozen bolts or screws without damage to the engine.
-Complete engine rebuilding to restore performance.
-Damaged engine repair.
-Machining of damaged mating parts if possible.
As I have to buy parts at retail just like you do, there is no
markup
for parts and I will use yours if you have them (assuming they are
correct). Shipping costs for parts is also a pass-through. Bearings
will
come from Boca Bearing, other parts will be ordered from the
appropriate
distributor.
Labor for any service is $25/hr, including any cleanup necessary
prior
to disassembly. A typical two-stroke bearing replacement in an
otherwise
good engine will take about an hour or less, including cleaning (you
can
save a buck or two by cleaning it up first), plus roughly $12 to $15
for
the bearings. If you are in a hurry I can pick them up at Boca
Bearing,
but I’ll charge you $15/hr for my time. Gas is expensive these days.
I
will give you a rough estimate after seeing your engine, but you
don’t
always know what you’ll find until its apart. If I feel its not
repairable, or parts cost is excessive, I will not attempt the
impossible. Often its cheaper to replace than repair. You will only
owe
me for my time to tear it down.

Stick 60 with a Saito 100. Very well assembled by me, the engine is new
too, has the factory recommended break in, and both have only one 10
minutes successful test flight. Horizon Hobby is asking $420 for this
combination, unassembled and w/o S&H. I am accepting $300.00 (Firm), and
I will included the 7 new futaba servos, the electric switch and the
high current receiver battery, for additional $50.00 I‘ll include a 4
channel Futaba transmitter and receiver, and it will be ready to fly.

FOR SALE 1) .46 size Thunder Tiger Tiger-Bipe in
good condition w/servos and
OS .46 LA RTF minus receiver and battery. Flies very nice and still

2) 27% Hanger 9 CAP 232 airframe only

glide..does about 90-100mph. Comes with second complete partially

GLOW PLUG HOLE STRIPPED OUT ?
$20. will fix your motor to be stronger
than new.
You must do the cleaning and disassembly
and deliver only the clean head to me for machining work.
If you choose to mail it to me…that’s
fine, but add on another $5.00 for me to get it packed and shipped
back to you.
That’s all it takes…and it’s good, it’s
cheap and it’s fast.
One day turnaround, or quicker if you
are really in a hurry.
If you are unable to do the disassembly,
I can do it for you, but there will be an additional $25. charge for
cleaning, disassembling, and reassembly, and the turn around time will
be just a little longer.
