This model of the 649/749 Lockheed Constellation was started by Joe Hancock and several of his friends about 5 or 6 years ago. The Plans for the 134" Connie were done by Don Smith. Construction of the model is by Victor Weitzman of B.C.R.C.A. with invaluable assistance by Brian Kessler and technical and material aid by Errol Hunger. The Model has four Saito .91 four cycle engines, Century retracts, and the wood parts were cut by Precision Cut Kits. The Hitec servos are digital and have 143 oz.inches of output. The plans and partially built components and retracts were donated by Judy Hancock in honor of her husband Joe Hancock, who flew this plane for Eastern Airlines. The model will be finished in Eastern Airlines color scheme. The plane will fiberglassed and either painted or covered in Flite metal aluminum.
